Clark County Confirms 14 Cases Of Measles. News – OPB N ews

Clark County, Washington health authorities confirmed Wednesday that they have diagnosed 14 cases of measles, and three thought cases, so far this year.

All of the measles break outs have actually been among children.

The county released a long list of possible direct exposure websites on its website — including medical clinics, churches and primary schools in Vancouver. Health authorities state individuals may have likewise been exposed at the Portland International Airport and the close-by IKEA store.

Clark County states it is requiring students and staff who do not have proof of measles resistance to stay out of schools and child care settings.

Anyone who believes they have symptoms of the measles need to contact their health care service provider or county health department.

The county developed a hotline related to the outbreak.

“Anyone who has concerns about public direct exposures must contact the call center, 360-397-8021. The call center hours are 9 am to 5 pm daily, including weekends,” the county composed in a statement.
